Meet the women entrepreneurs from South Africa

The women in N’wamitwa Village, near Tzaneen in Limpopo Province had ambitions to become entrepreneurs and start a market gardening business enterprise, but lacked the necessary business training.

Guided by HiH Southern Africa, the women began saving, opened their first bank account, registered with the local Small Enterprise Development Agency and learnt the basics of running a business. Their first crop of tomatoes, spinach and butternuts was such a success they were able to reinvest in the business and the market garden business was born.
